In 1986, Hari innovated SofTech Design™ and the success of this form factor has had more effect on the camera industry than other product areas. In August of 1987, our client experienced a cancellation of an 800,000-piece order. When our new SofTech Design™ line was introduced at Photokina in Cologne, Germany, those same buyers ordered 1.2 million pieces. A gross sales increase of some 20 million dollars. Within nine months, every major manufacturer had a SofTech Design™ camera in their line and quickly moved to change their whole line style. This is what effective design can do for the bottom line.
